New road layouts can easily become accident hotspots for both vehicles and pedestrians and confusing to regular uses as they encounter changes to familiar roads, especially at night. Therefore, when designing the street lighting for this project, special attention was needed to improve the visibility of both the road ahead, new signage and the new Zebra Crossing for both oncoming traffic and pedestrians.
Utilising our state-of-the-art design technology, and in line with current BS standards, and adoptable council specification, we created a high-spec lighting layout that improved road safety, highlighted signs for drivers for easier navigation and illuminated for clear visibility the Zebra Crossing, making this new addition to the road a safer place for pedestrians.
